Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of PaperToProd, a service operated as a sole proprietorship registered in Gujarat, India. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

PaperToProd is an online marketplace that connects clients who need jewelry related work with freelance designers or agencies who provide it. We facilitate job posting, proposals, contracts, escrow payments, and file delivery. We are not a party to the contract for the design work itself — that contract is between the client and the designer.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • One account per person; you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Platform Rules.

3. Payments, escrow, and fees

Clients fund each project into escrow before work begins and pay the designer's quote plus a payment-processing fee (3% of the quote) — no client-side platform fee. Full refunds return the processing fee as well. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Razorpay). The designer's wallet is credited the full quoted amount on approval; a withdrawal fee applies when the designer withdraws, tiered by the withdrawal amount (15% under $200, 10% from $200, 5% from $400, all inclusive of taxes). Full details are in our Escrow & Payment Policy.

4. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Because funds are held in escrow until work is approved, the client's payment can be returned before work is delivered or through dispute resolution.

5. Intellectual property in deliverables

Unless the client and designer agree otherwise in writing, ownership of the final approved deliverables transfers to the client once payment is released. Designers are responsible for ensuring their work does not infringe third-party rights. PaperToProd branding and the platform software remain our property.

6. Marketplace: buying and selling designs

Alongside custom projects, PaperToProd operates a marketplace where sellers list ready-made jewelry design files (CAD models and renders) that buyers can license and download instantly. Each sale is a licence of the files between the buyer and the seller; we facilitate the transaction and charge a commission, and are not the seller or the author of the design.

What a buyer receives (the licence)

  • A non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use the purchased files to make and sell your own physical jewelry products.
  • The same design may be licensed to other buyers — a purchase is not exclusive unless the listing explicitly says so.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, sub-license, or re-list the design files themselves, or share them outside your business.
  • The licence takes effect when your payment is captured and cannot be revoked for a completed, non-fraudulent purchase.

What a seller promises

  • You own, or have the rights to license, everything you list, and you may lawfully grant the licence above.
  • Your listing does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property, and you will indemnify us and the buyer against claims that it does.
  • A design a client received from a completed project on our platform is the client's to list, because ownership transfers on payment release (see section 5).
  • We may suspend or remove any listing that is reported, disputed, or appears to infringe, and hold the related payout while we review it.

Marketplace purchases are digital goods delivered instantly, so different refund rules apply — see our Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to take payments, files, or contracts off-platform before a contract starts.
  • Do not post unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent content.
  • Do not abuse, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the platform.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee any particular outcome of a project. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the platform fees we earned on that project.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Surat, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date at the top of this page. Questions? Email support@papertoprod.com.
