PaperToProd connects jewelry manufacturers, studios, and brands in the USA, Canada, and Europe with professional CAD designers who turn their ideas into production-ready work — 3D CAD models, photoreal renders, and manufacturing-ready files. It is an export-of-services platform: the client's brief comes in, and finished digital design files go out, entirely online.

Jewelry CAD work is iterative and trust-heavy. Clients often cannot fully judge a design until it is nearly finished, and designers risk doing the work without being paid. PaperToProd removes that risk on both sides: the client funds the project up front into escrow, the designer delivers through the platform, and the designer is paid in full the moment the client approves the work.

PaperToProd is not a generic gig site. It is a structured workflow built around how jewelry design actually happens:

• Escrow on every project — clients only pay for work they approve; designers are guaranteed payment for approved work.
• Revision Quotes — when a request grows beyond the original brief, the designer can quote the extra scope and the client accepts or declines, so scope changes never go unpaid or unclear.
• Everything in one place — proposals, contracts, chat, CAD files, renders, and revision history stay on the platform, so there is always a complete record of the work.
• Fair dispute resolution — if something goes wrong, a Dispute Manager reviews the evidence and decides a fair outcome.

The design marketplace

Beyond custom projects, PaperToProd also runs a marketplace of ready-made jewelry designs. Buyers can license and download production-ready CAD files instantly instead of commissioning from scratch, and designers earn by listing designs they own. Each purchase includes a licence to make and sell your own products; sellers keep ownership and are paid after a short clearing period. See our Terms of Service for the licence details.

How we make money

Clients pay the designer's quote plus payment processing at cost (3%, the gateway's transaction charge) — no platform fee, no markup. We earn a transparent withdrawal fee when designers cash out their wallet: 15% on withdrawals under $200, 10% from $200, and just 5% from $400 up. The bigger the withdrawal, the lower the rate — and the exact fee is shown before every withdrawal is confirmed.
